Jane Stevens
REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST
Jane is a psychologist practicing across all ages of the lifespan, utilising evidence based best practice. She is dedicated to the principles of compassion, mindfulness, mind-body holism, and safety through kindness. Together with her clients they gently bring the intrinsic wisdom of heart-mind to life's difficulties, distresses, and traumas, to transcend the isolation of these experiences, reground with emotional balance, build resilience strengths, and regain a stronger sense of self and security, through openness and connection to life. Jane incorporates practical, philosophical, and interpersonal approaches within therapy. Jane understand the uniqueness of an individuals life experience and situation, requires care and collaboration to nurture and develop strengths and skills, to reach goals for living a meaningful and purposeful life. She is grateful to contribute to facilitating those supports to living a great life.
Jane specialises in Mindfulness Somatic Therapy (Hakomi), Trauma Informed Therapy, CBT, and ACT. She is informed by maturity and diverse life experiences including previous careers in environmental conservation, and the disability sector as an NDIS Support Worker. Jane provide person-centered therapeutic interventions, assessment and report writing services to those in need.
In her relaxation time, Jane can be found hanging-out with her two best friends, her partner and her deaf cattle-dog Cricket, walking on the beach or camping in peaceful natural environments.
