COMMUNITY WORKER AND COUNSELLING STUDENT

Todd has worked in several industries that has allowed him to meet and observe a diverse range of people in varied environments, with different nationalities and differing abilities. This has provided him with a strong base that contributes towards fulfilling his passion for helping people. He believes the greatest attribute to support a person is to listen and try to understand their life experience through their eyes. Todd regularly participates and has a strong belief in mindfulness techniques that help quiet the mind and stabilise emotion. Physical exercise is also a powerful tool he uses to support holistic change and promote healthy living. Todd has had many years of experience supporting people with disabilities and mental health illnesses. The spectrum of associated disabilities includes ASD, ADHD, Chromosome 22 Disorder, Prader-Willi Syndrome , Schizophrenia and Downs Syndrome . Todd has also had experience with people suffering addiction and acquired brain injuries.

Todd has had many years of experience supporting people with disabilities and mental health illnesses, and has collaborated with Behaviour Specialists and Occupational Therapists implementing support plans during his management of a disability support company. He is currently completing his Counselling Diploma under the supervision of Nerida Saunders and the team at Brain Care.

Todd’s personal interests are surfing and being close to the ocean, AFL , tennis , golf and most sports that involve being and enjoying the outdoors. His greatest love is his family, seeing them happy and growing together.
